The clinic is for P.A. announcers who announce junior high/middle school, high school, college and youth football. Substitute announcers, as well as high school and college students, who would like to learn how to announce or who are announcing, are encouraged to register.
Besides learning how to properly announce football, the clinic will cover other aspects of announcing, including sportsmanship and promoting a positive environment, and dealing with emergency situations, all of which have liability implications.

Mike Jansen, Stadium Announcer for the Indianapolis Colts, is the clinician. Mike began his career in 1988 as a voice talent for audio and video productions. He joined a video production company in 1990 as a salesman and producer. In 1992, he was the stadium announcer for the Indianapolis Ice minor league hockey team. Six years later, he and 349 other individuals auditioned for the Indianapolis Colts' Stadium Announcer position. Mike was offered the job, which he has held for the past 10 years. The highlight of his P.A. announcing career was the Colts wining the Super Bowl XLI in 2007...and receiving a Super Bowl ring with his name on it!
