NASPAA Football P.A. Announcers' Clinics Information

Providing professional development opportunities for P.A. announcers of all levels has been one of the NASPAA's top priorities since it first began conducting P.A. announcing clinics four years ago.

NASPAA football P.A. announcers' clinics are for P.A. announcers with all levels of experience who announce junior high/middle school, high school, college and youth football. Substitute announcers, as well as high school and college students, who would like to learn how to announce or who are announcing, are encouraged to register.

A variety of topics will be covered including sportsmanship and promoting a positive environment, P.A. announcing do's and don'ts, dealing with emergency situations, scriptwriting and voice training. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an announcing exercise where they will actually call a game. A football official will address ways that officials and P.A. announcers can better work together, hand signals, new rules changes and how to spot the ball.

NASPAA clinicians are respected P.A. announcers who are experienced, and knowledgeable. They understand the importance of training and education, and are committed to helping raise the level of professionalism of announcing.
