 NIAAA Becomes NASPAA Affiliate Member

The National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, the professional association for high school athletic directors, has become an NASPAA Affiliate Member.

"The NASPAA and the NIAAA share similar core values and philosophy about P.A. announcing, which include sportsmanship and proper conduct," commented Brad Rumble, NASPAA Executive Director.  "Educating athletic directors about their role in managing game/event announcing is something that the NIAAA takes seriously.  The quality of announcing, in many respects, has a lot to do with the attention and support that athletic directors give their announcers."

"The NIAAA is pleased to have the opportunity to work with the NASPAA," remarked Bruce Whitehead, NIAAA Executive Director.  "We both share a commitment to training and education.  By working together, we can help raise the level of professionalism of announcing."

The NIAAA is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana.  More than 8,000 athletic directors are members of the NIAAA.
